Community Standards

“Elegance begins with agreement. Ritual is meaningful only when every participant is honored.”

Xanadu Reserve is built on the understanding that an elevated community requires shared commitments. The standards below are the foundation of every gathering we host — and the agreements every member and guest accepts in advance of attending.

These are not rules to recite. They are practices to live.

Consent Is the Foundation

All interaction at a Reserve event — from conversation to touch to scene — is explicit, informed, enthusiastic, and ongoing. Consent may be withdrawn at any moment, without justification and without penalty to the person withdrawing it.

Negotiate before you play. Honor what was negotiated. When in doubt, ask.

Discretion & Privacy

What is seen, heard, or shared at Xanadu Reserve remains within Xanadu Reserve. No photography, video, or recording of any kind is permitted at events without the hosts’ explicit authorization. No outing — in any medium, to any audience, at any time.

Discretion is the currency of trust in this community. Spend it carefully.

Respect & Inclusion

Xanadu Reserve welcomes members and guests of every orientation, identity, body, background, and level of experience. Chosen names and pronouns are honored on first introduction and thereafter. Newcomers and seasoned practitioners are treated with equal grace.

Harassment, discrimination, and unsolicited propositioning are not tolerated.

Safety & Harm Reduction

Play is entered into with clear heads, clear agreements, and clear aftercare. Intoxication that compromises your ability to consent, negotiate, or keep a partner safe is not permitted in play spaces. Scenes are conducted with appropriate safety measures and emergency awareness.

If something feels wrong, stop. If you need help, find a host.

Presence & Protocol

High Protocol is a practice of refined attention — to ritual, to partner, to community. Arrive prepared, dressed to the occasion, and willing to participate in the structure of the evening. Follow the guidance of the hosts and designated service members.

The structure exists so that everyone may be fully present.

Age & Verification

All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Identity verification may be requested at application, at the door, or in response to a concern. Misrepresenting your age, identity, or membership status is grounds for immediate removal and permanent exclusion.

The Hosts’ Word

The hosts hold final authority on every aspect of every event — who attends, how space is used, and when participation ends. This authority exists to protect the community, not to constrain it. A request from a host is not a negotiation.

Accountability

Membership is a privilege extended, not a right retained. Conduct that violates these standards — in a Reserve space, at an affiliated event, or in online community spaces — may result in suspension or permanent revocation of membership without refund.

We hold ourselves to these standards first. We expect the same of every member.

Raising a Concern

If you experience or witness a violation of these standards — at an event, in an online community, or in any Reserve-adjacent context — we want to hear from you. Concerns are received with care, discretion, and without retaliation.

In the moment: approach any host or designated point of contact at the event. They will address the concern directly and discreetly.

After the fact: write to XanaduReserve@gmail.com. Every message is read personally by a host and answered.

These standards are a living agreement.
They evolve with the community they protect.
